Short version: no accounts, no ads, no tracking. All content lives on your phone. The only network activity is validating your one-time purchase through Apple and RevenueCat, using an anonymous identifier.
We do not collect your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, or photos. There is no account system and no advertising. The app's travel content is bundled inside the app and works offline.
Nani?! Japan offers a single optional one-time purchase ("Unlock all Japan"). Payment is processed entirely by Apple — we never see your name, Apple ID, or payment details. To validate and restore your purchase, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous randomly-generated app user ID and your App Store receipt. This identifier cannot be used to identify you personally.
Your reading state and unlock status are saved in your device's local storage. Deleting the app removes local data from your device; your purchase remains linked to your Apple ID and can always be restored with the "Restore purchase" button.
The app is suitable for a general audience and collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
Everything except the purchase record is stored locally — deleting the app removes it. Purchase records are managed by Apple under your Apple ID.
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
